On Wednesday, a few pictures went viral where Animal filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga could be seen watching Dhurandhar 2 in a theatre along with his Spirit actor Prabhas. On Thursday, Sandeep penned a brief but assertive note, expressing his praise for Dhurandhar 2, while also taking a dig at the film’s critics.
Taking to his Twitter page, Sandeep reddy Vanga wrote, “Writers & actors built careers on propaganda, and the industry stayed quiet like cats. Now the same clan mock Dhurandhar.”
The Animal filmmaker further criticised the ‘liberals,’ also defending the film against all propaganda allegations. “You don’t get to call yourself liberal if your first instinct is to Mock. Don’t know when truth started getting labeled as propaganda...... strange times.”
Talking about Dhurandhar 2, Sandeep Reddy Vanga called it an outstanding film and also extended his wishes to Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh amidst all the criticism. He added, “Yeh kaala drishti aise nahi jaayega... Muthi bhar ke laal mirch se kaam nahi chalega.... poora khet jalana padega. (”The evil eye won’t go away so easily. A handful of red pepper won’t do; you have to burn an entire farm.”)
It is to be noted that Sandeep had also penned a profuse note for Dhurandhar in December. "Dhurandhar is built like a man who doesn’t talk much & carries a masculine spine.... Dhurandhar The title fits because the film moves with dominance & fierce. The depiction is very clear with zero chaos. Music, performances, screenplay & direction are on the top. Akshaye Khanna sir and Ranveer erased into air & just disappeared into characters effortlessly. Thank you Aditya for making everyone experience the true weight of untold sacrifices," he had penned.
