Salman Khan has wrapped the Ladakh schedule of his upcoming war-drama, Battle of Galwan in 45 days. Director Apoorva Lakhia took to social media to share photos from the grueling shoot in high altitudes, which reportedly involved some epic action sequences.

Sharing a photo from the shoot, Apoorva wrote on Instagram, “It's a wrap." He re-shared a video posted by actor Ankur Bhatia with the caption, "Schedule wrap in Ladakh. Thank you, @lakhiaapoorva, for an unforgettable shoot. #BattleofGalwan." Apoorva tagged him and said, "It was awesome."

Apoorva also shared a photo where he is seen having a conversation with Salman in the middle of a scene.

After wrapping the shoot schedule, Salman was seen at Mumbai airport with a clean-shaven look. The actor was maintaining a moustache look for the character he plays in the film.

The film revisits the harrowing 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops, a rare border skirmish that turned deadly without any firearms being used. Instead, soldiers resorted to hand-to-hand combat with sticks and stones. It also stars Chitrangada Singh and features music by Himesh Reshammiya.

Speaking about working on the film earlier in an interview with PTI, Salman said that it was physically demanding. “Every year, every month, every day it gets more and more difficult. I've to give more time now (for training). Earlier, I would do it (train) in one or two weeks, now I'm running, kicking, punching, and all that stuff. This film demands that.”

He added, “For instance, in Sikandar the action was different, the character was different. But this is physically difficult. Besides, shooting in Ladakh, in high altitude and in cold water (is another challenge). When I was signing the film, I thought it's amazing but it's a very difficult film to do. I've 20 days (of work) in Ladakh and then seven to eight days (of shoot) in cold water. We will be shooting this month.”

Salman’s last film, Sikandar, turned out to be a major failure at the box office when it was released earlier this year on Eid.
