Jamtara 2 actor Sachin Chandwade dies by suicide

Sachin Chandwade was reportedly found hanging at his hometown in Maharashtra on October 23, 2025

Marathi actor Sachin Chandwade, known for his role in the Hindi web-series, Jamtara 2, has died by suicide at his hometown, Undirkhede village in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra. He was 25.

As per reports, the incident took place at around 1:30 pm on October 23 when Sachin allegedly hanged himself from the ceiling in a room on the upper floor of his home. After finding him in the state, his family members rushed him to a nearby hospital. He was later shifted to another hospital in Dhule when his condition didn’t improve. The actor succumbed during the treatment on the next day.

Sachin was a software engineer, working at an IT park in Pune and also continued to pursue his passion of acting. He was also a member of Pune’s popular Dhol-Tasha Pathak, known for playing the Dhol during Ganesh Festival. His Instagram profile has photos of him engrossed in playing the dhol with Marathi celebrities such as Saurabh Gokhale, Shruti Marathe, Siddharth Jadhav, and Anuja Sathe, among others.

He recently shared poster of his upcoming Marathi film, Asurvan, which is set to be released in theatres soon. The film, directed by Sachin Ramchandra Ambat, stars Pooja Moily and Anuj Thakare alongside him. 

The reason behind Sachin's suicide remains unclear. His family and the makers of Asurvan have not yet issued official statements regarding his passing.
