The trailer of Perfect Family, starring Gulshan Devaiah, Girija Oak Godbole, Neha Dhupia, Seema Pahwa and Manoj Pahwa, was unveiled by the makers on Thursday. The dramedy series has been created by Palak Bhambri and directed by Sachin Pathak. It also marks actor Pankaj Tripathi’s debut as a producer.

The series revolves around a Punjabi family. The trailer shows us that this family might seem happy and normal at the surface but each member of it actually houses a lot of dysfunctionalities. When the everyday fights start affecting the family’s youngest, they have to collectively go for therapy where Neha Dhupia plays the level-headed therapist. The show seems to chronicle this family’s journey as they learn about mental health and bad coping mechanisms while also destigmatizing the need for therapy.

Apart from Pankaj, the show has also been produced by Ajay Rai of JAR Pictures along with Mohit Chhabra. It will land on the JAR Series’ YouTube channel on November 27. The first two episodes will be free to watch but for the remaining, viewers will have to make a one-time purchase of ₹59.

Speaking about the series, Gulshan shared, “Perfect Family is the kind of story that feels both entertaining and necessary. As Indians, we hardly ever talk openly about mental health, especially within the family. This show approaches that discomfort with a lot of heart and humour.”

Sharing her excitement, Neha added, "When I first heard the script of Perfect Family, I instantly connected with how honest, funny and relatable it was. Families can be messy, emotional, dramatic and that’s exactly what makes them beautiful.”
