

Actor Girija Oak, who has lately been having a greater level of attention on her from the public, took to her Instagram Stories the other day to warn users of a fake account in her name. While there are multiple accounts in her name, she specifically pointed out this one for a reason. "This account is fake. Beware! Don't give anyone any money! I would always ask for donations from own account. Come onn guys," the actor wrote. She also shared a screenshot of a chat with the fake account user, where the latter claimed to be Girija Oak's PR team and asked for an amount to their nonprofit organisation.
Girija is best known for her role in the 2010 crime drama Shor in the City, directed by Raj and DK of The Family Man fame. The actor has been in the news over the last few days after a clip, where she reminisced about an incident dating back to her physics class in junior college, went viral. She said that the professor who taught them physics once asked his students "What are babes?" leaving the latter puzzled. The professor mispronounced the word waves. Ever since the clip went viral, netizens have been showing plenty of love and affection for Girija, for which she has expressed her gratitude. She has also criticised the malicious use of social media in the process.
