It’s an early 2000 déjà vu. The trailer of Mohit Suri’s Aashiqui-coded musical romantic-drama Saiyaara was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. The film marks the debut of Ananya Panday’s cousin Ahaan Panday and also stars Aneet Padda in the lead.

The trailer introduces us to Krish Kapoor (Ahaan), a hot-headed musician, whose first impression is beating up a reviewer, possibly over a negative review. He is teamed up with Vaani (Aneet), a doe-eyed newbie songwriter. After initial personality clashes, they ultimately fall in love but it’s not for long. The trailer promises many romantic numbers.

Saiyaara is directed by Mohit Suri and written by Sankalp Sadanah. Rohan Shankar has penned the dialogues. It is the first film being produced by YRF’s CEO, Akshaye Widhani. It is presented by Aditya Chopra.

Ahaan’s debut was announced in February last year. The nephew of actor Chunky Panday, he was signed as a YRF Talent almost about six years back to go through intense training programmes devised personally by Aditya. A source at that time had said, "Ahaan has been shaped by Aditya Chopra personally for years. He has been kept under wraps by YRF so that he can focus on bettering his craft."

Aneet, on the other hand, previously featured in the series Big Girls Don’t Cry (2024).
