The title song from Ahaan Panday’s upcoming romantic-drama Saiyaara was unveiled by the makers on Tuesday. The film is directed by Mohit Suri and also stars Aneet Padda in the lead.

The music video of the song features Ahaan and Aneet in some moments of love as they are seen playing cricket, cruising together on a bike and spending time by the beach. These visuals are intercut with Ahaan going through heartbreak as he misses the earlier moments and revisits those places without her presence. The song features lyrics by Irshad Kamil and has been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah and Arslan Nizami. It features vocals by Faheem.

Speaking about the music album of the film, Mohit said in a press release, “One thing that only a handful close friends know about me is that I love meeting new composers, singers and collecting melodies and songs much like people who love reading, collect books. So, the album of Saiyaara has my songs, thoughts and melodies that I have carefully collected and curated for over 5 years.”

He added, “The album of Saiyaara is very close to my heart. So, every song of this album feels really special. We are starting our marketing campaign by dropping Saiyaara title track first. There is so much love, longing and heart in this song that I fell in love with it instantly.”

The film marks the debut of Ahaan. He is the cousin of Ananya Panday. It is produced by Yash Raj Films’ CEO Akshaye Widhani and presented by Aditya Chopra.

Saiyaara will be released in theatres on July 18.
