‘Sena Ki Jai’: New song from Tanvi The Great is an ode to the Indian Army

The film, directed by Anupam Kher, stars Shubhangi in the lead

‘Sena Ki Jai’, a patriotic song from Anupam Kher’s Tanvi The Great, was unveiled by the makers on Saturday. Sung by Shagun Sodhi and written by Kausar Munir, the song has been composed by Academy Award winner MM Keeravani.

The music video is set at an Army ball event and shows Tanvi, an autistic girl, dancing and singing the song in praise of the Armed Forces.

Speaking about the song, M. M. Keeravani said, “ ‘Sena Ki Jai’ is the heart of Tanvi The Great. This song is our tribute to all the armed forces who protect us. It’s a composition that will make you want to dance to its rhythm while filling your heart with pride.”

Anupam added, “This song will be an anthem for our bravehearts.  It is composed in a way that reflects the unique thinking of an autistic mind which is deeply layered and powerful. It captures the spirit and strength of our soldiers.”

Tanvi The Great introduces debutant Shubhangi in the lead. It also stars Jackie Shroff,  Arvind Swami, Boman Irani , Pallavi Joshi, Karan Tacker, Nasser, along with Anupam Kher and Iain Glen.

The film will be released in theatres on July 18.
