The other day, actor Kartik Aaryan shared a photograph featuring him with Hollywood star Johnny Depp that is taken from their recent meeting at the Red Sea International Film Festival. In the caption, Kartik wrote, "Pirates of the Red Sea. Jack Sparrow x Rooh Baba." The photograph has grabbed a lot of eyeballs from netizens and has surprised many of Kartik's admirers, prompting them to call it "the selfie of the year". It has also made some to even request a collaboration between Kartik's Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 character and Depp's Captain Jack Sparrow from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise in a film. Kartik took part in a segment of the festival, called 'In Conversation', also featuring the presence of actors such as Anthony Hopkins, Idris Elba, Riz Ahmed, Nicholas Hoult, Edgar Ramirez, and Darren Aronofsky.

Kartik Aaryan's upcoming films include Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, co-starring Ananya Panday and directed by Sameer Vidwans. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is slated for a December 25 release. He has also Naagzilla, the Mrighdeep Singh Lamba directorial where he reportedly portrays a serpent with shape-shifting capabilities called Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand.
