Actor Parineeti Chopra and politician Raghav Chadha took to social media on Monday to announce that they are expecting a baby soon.

The two shared an adorable post with a picture of a cake which has a golden imprint of two tiny baby feet along with the inscription “1 + 1 = 3”, which referred to the new arrival in their family. In another video attached with the same post, Parineeti and Raghav are seen walking together on a road surrounded by lush green trees. They wrote in the caption, “Our little universe … on its way.
Blessed beyond measure.”

The comment section of the post was filled with congratulatory messages from the film fraternity. Ananya Panday wrote, “Awww congratulations Pari!”. Bhumi Pednekar, Huma Qureshi, Neha Dhupia and Sonam Kapoor added their congratulatory notes too with heart emojis.

The news of pregnancy comes shortly after Raghav hinted about expanding the family during his appearance with Parineeti on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix. When they were asked about having a child, both of them maintained a smiling face and joked about it.

Raghav and Parineeti got married on September 24, 2023 at the Leela Palace Hotel in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The wedding was attended by film celebrities and politicians along with close friends and family of the two.

On the work front, Parineeti was last seen in Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila, where she played the role of Amarjot Chamkila and starred alongside Diljit Dosanjh. Her performance in the film was praised. The actor made her Hindi film debut with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl (2011) but was recognised better for her role in Ishaqzaade (2012), where she shared the screen with Arjun Kapoor. She has since then starred in Shuddh Desi Romance (2013), Daawat-e-Ishq (2014), Kill Dil (2014), Golmaal Again (2017) and Kesari (2019) among others.

Parineeti will be seen next in an untitled mystery-thriller web-series, marking her streaming debut.
