Noted composer and one-half of the famed Vishal-Shekhar combo, Shekhar Ravjiani, launched his indie record label, Garuudaa Musiic.

Known for his work in films like Om Shanti Om, Sultan, and the recent blockbuster Pathaan, Shekhar said in a statement that the label is a sign of changing times. 

"With Garuudaa Musiic, I am looking forward to composing, singing, and collaborating on the kind of music that deeply inspires me. It's a distinctly modern platform that will focus on making songs for a new generation of listeners. With changing times we as artistes need to adapt and evolve and Garuudaa is my first step towards that new beginning. I am super excited to share my creations with my listeners and audiences and I hope they enjoy being on this journey with me," said Shekhar in a statement.

Apart from his credentials as a composer, Shekhar is also known for his work behind the mic in songs like Bin Tere, and as an actor in Sonam Kapoor's film, Neerja.
