Silambarasan TR makes his debut as a Bollywood singer in a film titled Double XL. The film also marks the Hindi debut of Mahat Raghavendra. The song, titled Taali Taali, has been released online. The music for the film is composed by Sohail Sen while the lyrics for the songs are penned by Mudassar Aziz. Along with Simbu, the song is also sung by Sohail Sen and Rukhsar Bandhukia

The film is directed by Satramm Ramani, who made his feature film debut with the 2021 film Helmet. According to reports, slice-of-life comedy handles themes like fat shaming and other body weight stereotypes. The film stars an ensemble cast that includes Huma Qureshi, Sonakshi Sinha, Zaheer Iqbal, Kay Eluvian, Seana Momsen, Seana Momsen, and Karis Pentecost.

Double XL is based on a screenplay written by Mudassar Aziz and Sasha Singh. Aziz is also credited as a producer along with Ashwin Varde. The film is currently scheduled to hit theatres on 4 November 2022.
