Director David O Russell's Silver Linings Playbook is regarded as one of the best films of 2012, featuring a performance from Bradley Cooper that made the world take notice of him seriously as an actor. Based on Matthew Quick's eponymous book, the film also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Robert De Niro, Jacki Weaver, Anupam Kher, and Chris Tucker, among others. It earned as many as eight Academy Awards nominations in 2013, including a Best Actor nod for Cooper, best supporting actor and actress nominations for De Niro and Weaver, respectively, a best actress win for Lawrence, a best picture nomination, and a best director nod for Russell.

Silver Linings Playbook also played a part in Anupam Kher forming a lifelong connection with his co-star Robert De Niro. Every once in a while, Anupam drops a photograph featuring him with De Niro and reminisces about their collaboration on the 2012 film and/or their years-long friendship. Even in August, Anupam did so, while penning a heartfelt note on his co-star and legendary actor Robert De Niro's birthday.

Now, the actor has shared another picture with Russell following their recent meeting. He wrote, "Dearest David O. Russell,
It was so wonderful meeting you in Los Angeles. Thank you for the delicious lunch, for our beautiful conversations about Shiva, life, cinema and your latest film Madden, and for welcoming me into your home. What a beautiful house!! And what extraordinary energy it has!"

The actor also spoke about how the reunion with his Silver Linings Playbook impacted him personally. "Meeting you is always rejuvenating. I come away feeling more hopeful about life, more excited about cinema, and more inspired to work."

Meanwhile, speaking about the 2012 film, he wrote, "Working with you in Silver Linings Playbook was truly a great experience for me! An experience that I will always treasure. I look forward to working with you again and again and again! God bless you, my friend. Om Namah Shivay!"
