Tom Holland is coming back as the web-slinging protagonist in director Destin Daniel Cretton's next Spider-Man film. Reportedly, the film's makers held a test screening recently, and the internet is abuzz with speculation about what the audience for the early preview said about it. According to netizens, the audience who attended the test screening for Spider-Man: Brand New Day calls it the best-ever film in the broader franchise, which started way back in the early 2000s with director Sam Raimi's film.

There are also rumours about the film having the greatest-ever action sequence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Sadie Sink's character being the best role in the film and one of the finest in the MCU, and so forth. Rumour has it that the audience who took part in the Spider-Man: Brand New Day test screening is split about the film's climax. While some of them liked the ending, others ended up hating it, according to reports.

It remains to be seen how much of the speculation proves true. Skeptics say that claims about the upcoming film being the best Spider-Man film of all time are perhaps a little exaggerated. According to them, this is what the early audience says about every other MCU film. It is worth noting that there have been instances where films from Marvel Studios did not fully live up to the massive pre-release hype, such as with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Coming back to Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the film is written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers based on Stan Lee and Steve Ditko's comic book. It also stars Zendaya in an important role, alongside Holland. The cast also includes Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo. The film is slated for a July 31 release in theatres.
