The Punisher: One Last Kill is set to premiere as a special one-hour Marvel Television presentation, marking what is being positioned as Frank Castle’s last standalone outing before the character moves deeper into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ahead of the release, Disney+ has introduced a dedicated Punisher hub that connects Castle’s larger story arc across multiple Marvel titles. The section includes trailers, episode guides and curated watchlists linking Bernthal’s earlier Punisher appearances, including the original Netflix-era seasons and Daredevil: Born Again.
The new setup appears designed to help viewers revisit Frank Castle’s timeline in chronological order before his reported appearance in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Marvel has also labelled One Last Kill as a “Marvel Television Special Presentation,” further suggesting it serves as a bridge between the street-level Disney+ stories and future MCU films.
What will Punisher: One Last Kill revolve around?
Set after the events of Daredevil: Born Again, the special follows Frank Castle as he attempts to move beyond his violent past before being pulled back into conflict by what Marvel describes as an “unforeseen force". The official synopsis hints at Castle confronting both his purpose and his rage in what many viewers are already calling one of the character’s darkest MCU stories yet.
While Marvel has not revealed many plot specifics, early reactions online have focused on the project’s grounded tone and emotionally heavy approach to Castle’s character. Several fans have described the special as a brutal closing chapter for the Punisher before his transition into larger crossover projects.
When and where is it streaming in India?
Starring Jon Bernthal as the vigilante anti-hero, the special will begin streaming exclusively on Disney+ on May 12 at 9 pm ET / 6 pm PT, which will be May 13 at 6:30 am IST in India. Indians can watch it on JioHotstar. The project will not be available on Netflix or any other streaming platform at launch.
Bernthal first debuted as Frank Castle in Daredevil before headlining his own standalone Punisher series. Over the years, the character became one of Marvel’s most popular darker heroes, known for his violent methods and morally conflicted worldview.
