Marvel's famously secretive approach to filmmaking has reached a whole new level with Sadie Sink's upcoming debut in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Stranger Things star has revealed that the studio kept her mystery role under such tight wraps that she neither auditioned for the film nor received the full script until she was already on her way to London for filming.

Speaking to Nylon, Sink opened up about the extraordinary lengths taken to protect spoilers surrounding the highly anticipated Spider-Man film. While fans have spent months speculating about her character, the actor made it clear that she has no intention of revealing any details. "You just don't share the secret; it's not that hard," Sink said, brushing off questions about the intense secrecy surrounding the project.

Ever since Marvel announced her casting, online theories have run wild. Many fans believe Sink could be portraying a younger version of Jean Grey, potentially laying the groundwork for the X-Men's long-awaited integration into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Others have suggested she may be playing an entirely original character created specifically for the Spider-Man franchise. However, Marvel has kept her role firmly under wraps, and even the film's trailers and promotional material have deliberately avoided revealing her appearance.

Despite stepping into an already well-established franchise, Sink said she immediately felt welcomed by the cast and crew, particularly Spider-Man star Tom Holland. "It was interesting stepping into that space and being a little bit of an outsider in that way, but he could not have been more welcoming, and just the whole crew in general," she said. "He was just so relaxed and open, and I felt very at ease."

The actor admitted that while she knew Marvel films attracted massive audiences, experiencing the scale of the franchise firsthand was something entirely different. "I knew that Marvel was a big deal and had a big brand, especially Spider-Man," Sink said. "I know there's a huge fan base, but it feels really big. I think these blockbuster movies are a whole different beast."

Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues Peter Parker's story after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home, where the world no longer remembers his identity. According to the official synopsis, Peter is now fighting crime full-time while struggling to watch his former friends move on with their lives. As he attempts to navigate this new reality, he finds himself facing a dangerous new enemy unlike anything he has encountered before.

The film sees Tom Holland return as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya and Jacob Batalon. The cast also includes Jon Bernthal, who reprises his role as the Punisher, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Liza Colón-Zayas in an undisclosed role. With Sink's character remaining one of Marvel's biggest unanswered questions, speculation is expected to continue until the film arrives in theatres on July 31.
