Promotions for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland in the titular role, are in full swing in anticipation of the July 30 release of the film in India. As reported earlier, the film from director Destin Daniel Cretton will hit theatres in India a day before its scheduled release elsewhere in the world. On Tuesday, the makers of the film dropped a promotional video where Holland's web-slinging superhero character can be seen taking football legend Lionel Messi for a ride, swinging through edifices. It is worth noting that Lionel Messi is leading the list of the highest goal scorers in the FIFA World Cup, making the promotion for the film a timely one.

Meanwhile, EPIQ Cinema made an announcement on social media about the Tom Holland-Zendaya starrer. "The web has been spun. The experience has been redefined. For the first time ever, a Hollywood studio film is mastered for EPIQ. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is coming to India's Biggest Format, delivering every frame with greater scale, every swing with greater impact, and every moment the way it was meant to be experienced. This is just the beginning," they wrote on X.

It also stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, Jacob Batalon as Ned Leeds, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk, Michael Mando as Scorpion, and Marvin Jones III as Lonnie Lincoln/Tombstone. The cast includes Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, and Liza Colon-Zayas. Most popular for her character in Netflix's Stranger Things, Sink is reportedly playing the mutant Jean Grey. According to reports, Marvel Studios is set to keep Sink's role in the film a secret by not releasing any video or promotional poster for the character until its release.
