Singer Nick Jonas is soon set to turn his attention back to acting. Fresh from the release of his album Sunday Best, Jonas is attached to star in an action-thriller titled Bodyman. It will be directed by Homefront, Kiss the Girls and Kingdom fame Gary Fleder. The project brings Fleder back together with his series Kingdom's writer Byron Balasco. Production on the film is scheduled to start this June.

Bodyman explores a violent battle for power in a family during Christmas after an eccentric and rich person bestows his private military business to his bodyguard (Jonas) instead of his own children. Who are likely to come out of the family's remote estate alive?

Speaking about the project, Fleder described the prospect of collaborating with Jonas and Balasco as being one of his career highlights. The filmmaker also shared his excitement about working with them on a "a smart, lean, high-voltage action thriller". According to him, the film will allow Nick Jonas to showcase his intensity, emotional depth, and physicality.

Jonas is also set to produce the film under Powered by Jonas with Spencer Berman, as well as Mark Fasano of Nickel City Pictures and Jeffrey Greenstein of A Higher Standard.

Greenstein said that A Higher Standard is always seeking compelling projects that take the action genre to the next level. Describing Jonas as a talent with a deep sense of commitment to his craft, Greenstein shared his excitement about working on the film with an "incredible" team of creatives and deliver a gripping and grounded film for audiences.

On the other hand, Jonas shared that he has long been developing Bodyman and is excited about it coming to fruition.

Jonas is also set to commence a musical tour in the summer of 2026, after which the film is expected to start production.
