Who will be the next James Bond? This has been the question on everyone's mind, especially among longtime fans of the Bond franchise, ever since the release of No Time To Die, marking Daniel Craig's final outing in the 007 role. It now seems like we will not have to wait too long for the answer to the million-dollar question.

Amy Pascal, who is set to produce the upcoming 007 film with David Heyman for Amazon MGM Studios, recently teased a potential timeline for the announcement of the next James Bond actor. In a conversation with Deadline, Pascal was asked "when the next James Bond will be revealed?", and she said, "I would say the end of the year is a good bet."

Callum Turner, Tom Francis, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Jacob Elordi are among the leading contenders to be the next Bond. However, Pascal's answer to the question hinted at the franchise carrying on the tradition of choosing a relatively less-known face for the iconic role.

Pascal added, "We are being really, really methodical. Having worked with Barbara Broccoli at the studio, I mean, Daniel Craig is a hard act to follow. And it’s got to be something really different that is a stirring and exciting and different."

It is worth noting that Sean Connery, Timothy Dalton, and Craig were not major stars before playing Bond in multiple films. Remarkably, Connery and Craig, especially, have lasting legacies, having etched their names in the best-actor actors to portray the role.

Coming back to Amy Pascal, she is one of the producers of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland in the titular role.
