Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere is the latest in the series of the biopics of musicians to be released. But unlike some other films, Bruce Springsteen was actively involved in the making of the film.

Speaking at The Graham Norton Show, actor Jeremy Allen White, who portrays Springsteen in the film, said, "We spent a little bit of time, before we started shooting. We met in London, for the first time, when we met at Wembley (Stadium), before a show. And we got spend some time before filming. And then, Bruce was around on set with us."

Springsteen said, "I always feel guilty about that. I go like, 'Okay. Now, this fella has to play me. He has to play me, while my stupid a** is sitting in the chair, watching him.' But he was incredibly tolerant and I am thankful for that. He was so generous of me being there, and I had a great time."

Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere is directed by Scott Cooper, who has previously directed Black MassHostiles, and The Pale Blue Eye. Cooper has adapted Warren Zanes' book of the same name. The film follows the story of Springsteen recording his album, Nebraska, in 1982, as he creates the album at a pivotal time in his life.
