The Umbrella Academy star David Castaneda is all set to star as a lead in the yet-to-be-titled home invasion horror thriller from Julian Labrádor. The film is backed by Lionsgate and Talking Pictures’ horror label Midnight Pictures. He joins previously announced cast member Aimee Carrero as the film wrapped production recently in Los Angeles.

After a recent accident, Lorena's (Carrero) priority is her 12-year-old son's safety, relying on their home security system for protection. But when masked intruders invade their home, the cameras can only capture the terrifying events as Lorena and her son are stalked. Castenada plays Ben, Lorena's husband, who is also a doctor.

Labrádor, who has also produced the film, co-wrote the script with Owen Egerton. Tabitha Shick for Talking Pictures, and Andre Fonseca are the producers of the film, which will have executive production by Jeff Robinov, Dan Clifton, and Adam Maffei.

Castañeda's most recent performance was in the John Wick spinoff, Ballerina from Lionsgate, as well as in the Neon film, Splitsville. His claim to fame is his The Umbrella Academy character, Diego Hargreeves, a role he reprised for four seasons. Coming up for the actor is What the F*** Is My Password, Steve Pink's comedy in which he stars alongside Alexander Ludwig.
