Netflix released the official trailer for the fourth and final season of the time-travel series titled The Umbrella Academy. The upcoming season from showrunner Steve Blackman and director Paco Cabezas will drop on Netflix on August 8. It went on floors in February this year. The returning cast of the show includes Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Justin H Min, Colm Feore, Aidan Gallagher, and Ritu Arya, among others.

The Umbrella Academy is based on a series of comic books and graphic novels, written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá. In the show, estranged, adopted superhero siblings come back together after their father's demise to prevent an apocalypse; in the process, they uncover family secrets and confront a mysterious threat. The new trailer shows the Hargreeves siblings' father Reginald (Colm Feore), who also mentions Justin H Min's Ben as the Tentacle boy in a voiceover. Reginald and Ben die earlier in the series, but their storylines are part of the finale of The Umbrella Academy.

Apart from Blackman, Jeremy Slater and Gabriel Bá serve as co-creators on the show. Steve Blackman, Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, Beau Bauman, Jesse McKeown, and Scott Stuber are the executive producers. Universal Studio Group division UPC produced it.
