Warner Bros Studios has moved the release dates for a few much awaited films. This includes Leonardo DiCaprio's new film with Paul Thomas Anderson which has now been titled One Battle After Another. The crime thriller, which was earlier scheduled to release for August 8, will now hit theatres on September 26.

According to reports, the delay comes as the studio helps outfit US movie theaters with VistaVision projection systems to accommodate their director’s vision.

Filling the August 8 position will be Zach Cregger’s Weapon starring Josh Brolin, Julia Garner and Alden Ehrenreich which will clash at the box office with Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis' Freakier Friday. Weapons had been previously set for a January 2026 release.

Along with One Battle After Another, Maggie Gyllenhaal's The Bride has also been postponed to 2026 from its initial date of September 26. The Christian Bale-led film which is a retelling of Bride of Frankenstein, also features Jessie Buckley, Jake Gyllenhaal, Penélope Cruz, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Julianne Hough, Jeannie Berlin, and John Magaro. The film will now debut on March 6, 2026.

Anne Hathaway's Flowervale Street is also facing a significant delay from March 2026 to August 14, 2026. Also starring Ewan McGregor and Maisy Stella, the film is directed by David Robert Mitchell. Set in the '80, it follows a family noticing bizarre happenings in their quaint neighborhood.

In its animation slate, The Cat in the Hat will be released on February 27, 2026, two weeks earlier than planned. The film adapted from Dr Seuss' book has a voice cast featuring Bill Hader and Quinta Brunson.
