Streamer Apple TV+ has officially renewed Ted Lasso for season 4 on Friday, with Jason Sudeikis returning to play the titular character.

This renewal announcement comes as a pleasant surprise for fans as the future of the series remained dangling as it depended on Sudeikis' commitment to return.

Head of programming for Apple TV+ Matt Cherniss said in a statement, "Ted Lasso has been nothing short of a juggernaut, inspiring a passionate fanbase all over the world, and delivering endless joy and laughter, all while spreading kindness, compassion, and unwavering belief."

The possibility of a fourth season was under speculation since the third season ended with a finale hinting at the continuation of the series.

Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis as the titular character, a Kansas-based college football coach who joins a professional soccer team in England, despite his lack of experience in the sport. Although Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift are expected to return, Apple TV+ is yet to make any confirmation about the returning cast.
