The cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2 is expanding by the day. The latest to join the team of are Rachel Bloom and Patrick Brammal. The sequel to the iconic 2006 film has Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci who are all reprising their iconic roles as Miranda Priestly, Andrea Sachs, Emily Charlton and Nigel.

Rachel Bloom and Patrick Brammal, whose roles are currently undisclosed, join previously announced cast members Simone Ashley, Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, BJ Novak and Pauline Chalamet. Further, Broadway stars Helen J Shen, Conrad Ricamora and comedian Caleb Hearon are also part of the sequel.

Tracie Thoms, who portrayed Lily, the best friend of Andrea, and Tibor Feldman who played the role of Irv Ravitz, chairman of Runway’s parent company Elias-Clark will return for The Devil Wears Prada 2.

Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh, will play the husband of Miranda Priestly, the formidable editor-in-chief of Runway magazine. Director David Frankel and Aline Brosh McKenna, who penned the screenplay are taking over the duties after the 2006 film.

The Devil Wears Prada is based on a novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger and revolves around the experience of a young woman (Hathway) working under Runway magazine's devilish editor Miranda Priestly (Streep). The film grossed $326 million from theatres worldwide, and it earned Streep a Best Actress Oscar nomination and a Golden Globe win for best actress in a comedy in 2007.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on May 1, 2026

Rachel Bloom, best known for co-creating, executive producing, and starring in Crazy Ex-Girlfriend on The CW—a role that earned her both an Emmy and a Golden Globe—has remained active across stage and screen. recent screen appearances include roles in HBO Max’s Julia, the Frasier reboot on Paramount+, and Netflix films Your Place or Mine and The School for Good and Evil. She is also developing a new half-hour comedy for ABC, Do You Want Kids?, in collaboration with her husband, Dan Gregor. Previously, Bloom starred in Hulu’s Reboot (2022). She is set to return as a guest star in season 2 of Julia and will appear in Disney+’s The Muppets Mayhem Musical Series. Her additional television credits include appearances on Bar Fight! (IFC), Portlandia, iZombie (2018), iCarly (2022), RuPaul’s Drag Race

Brammall will star in the upcoming Apple TV+ crime thriller The Dispatcher, based on the novel by Ryan David Jahn. He also lends his voice to the character Uncle Rad on the acclaimed children's series Bluey, which received a Peabody Award. Most recently, he appeared as Andy Bouchard on the CBS series Evil.
