Sofia Carson, fresh off her action-packed role in Netflix’s Carry-On, is set to star in another high-profile project for the streaming platform. The Life List, a heartfelt romantic dramedy based on Lori Nelson Spielman’s bestselling novel, will premiere on Netflix on March 28, 2025.
The film follows Alex Rose, portrayed by Carson, who is sent on a quest to complete her childhood bucket list after the demise of her mother played by Connie Britton. She uncovers family secrets, romance, and self-discovery along the way.
Joining Carson in The Life List is an ensemble cast that includes Kyle Allen, Sebastian de Souza, José Zúñiga, Jordi Mollà, Dario Ladani Sanchez, Federico Rodriguez, Marianne Rendón, Michael Rowland, Chelsea Frei, Luca Padovan, Rachel Zeiger-Haag, Maria Jung, and Donnetta Lavinia Greys. The film is directed and written by Adam Brooks, known for Definitely, Maybe, with Liza Chasin producing under her 3dot Productions banner as part of her ongoing partnership with Netflix.
In the pipeline, Carson also has My Oxford Year, helmed by Iain Morris and co-starring Corey Mylchreest. Also from Netflix, the film is a rom-com based on the novel of the same name by Julia Whelan.
