The Bear actor Molly Gordon is all set to write, helm, and headline an upcoming comedy from A24, titled Peaked.

As per the official description, the film will revolve around, “The two girls who traumatised you in high school as they try to relive their glory days at their 10-year reunion.” Allie Levitan, who recently joined Saturday Night Live as writer, is penning the script for Peaked along with Gordon.

Scheduled to go on floors this year, Peaked will be backed and financed by A24. Along with Gordon and A24, David Hinojosa and Zach Nutman will also be producing the film under their 2AM banner. Levitan will also executive produce the film, apart from co-writing. Topic Studios, having previously partnered with Gordon on Theater Camp, will co-finance the new project.

Searchlight Pictures' Small Parts will also feature a collaboration between Gordon and Levitan, as the former will direct and co-write with the latter. The film, which went on floors in May 2024, is set to look at the 1987 Shelly Long and Bette Midler-starrer Outrageous Fortune differently.

The Sundance mockumentary Theater Camp featured Gordon as the protagonist, co-writer, and co-director. She worked along with her friends Noah Galvin, Ben Platt, and Nick Leiberman. She is also known for Booksmart, Shiva Baby, and You People. She has Oh, Hi! coming up. Daughter of Modern Family creator Steven Levitan, Allie Levitan has previously penned Our Cartoon President and has Adults in the pipeline.
