Fresh off the release of Avatar: Fire and Ash, Zoe Saldana has developed a new priority: to master the Gen-Alpha slang. The actor shared that she's "hyper-focused" as she is trying to wrap her head around it.

When asked about her favourite pop culture moment of the year, Saldana told People that it is "6-7", a term that became a meme and went viral on social media earlier this year, following the release of Skrilla's 'Doot Doot (6 7)' song with the recurring "6-7" lyrics with no apparent meaning.

"This whole 6-7 thing has been, oh God, an absolute anomaly. "I am just so hyper-focused on this Gen Alpha lingo, and I'm going to get it," Saldana said about the "six seven" trend, which was also declared the word of 2025.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star has also begun using the term 'aura', which translates to 'cool factor' in layman's language. With 10-year-old Gen Alpha twin boys, Cy and Bowie, along with her 9-year-old Zen, Zoe is only reminded of one thing: as she put it, "Every time I think that I'm preserving my aura, that's when I'm told that I lost it."

Saldana, who won the Oscar this year for Best Supporting Actress in Emilia Perez, recently reprised her role as Neytiri in James Cameron's threequel, Avatar: Fire and Ash. In the pipeline, she has The Bluff, a swashbuckler action drama film directed by Frank E Flowers. Executive produced by Saldana, the film stars Priyanka Chopra, Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Safia Oakley-Green and Temuera Morrison and is currently in post-production. On the television front, she plays the lead role in Lioness.
