Bridgerton breakout Regé-Jean Page is gearing up for a return to Netflix, this time at the centre of an “erotic” thriller currently in development. The actor will headline and executive produce the potential series, titled Hancock Park, which hails from studio Fifth Season.
Although Netflix has yet to officially greenlight the show, Page is already set to play a man embedded in Los Angeles’ elite circles, where his family’s once-secure social footing is beginning to slip.
The project comes from writer Matthew Barry, known for The Guest, Industry, and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Page will executive produce through his banner A Mighty Stranger, with Emily Brown (The Count of Monte Cristo, Funny You Should Ask) and Drew Comins (Yellowjackets, All the Old Knives) also on board as executive producers.
According to the early logline, Hancock Park is “an erotic thriller that follows a dangerously charismatic outsider, who invades the lives of a seemingly picture-perfect Los Angeles family when he rents their backyard guest house.” As he becomes entangled in their world, the show promises to peel back the layers of this pristine community, revealing “desire, deceit, and obsession” lurking beneath its glossy surface. Given the keywords — erotic, charismatic, desire — it’s no surprise Netflix tapped Page again.
The actor’s star power skyrocketed after his role as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, in Season 1 of Bridgerton. Before that, he portrayed Chicken George in the remake of Roots. His post-Bridgerton slate included the Russo Brothers’ Netflix action feature The Gray Man, opposite Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, and Ana de Armas.
