Prime Video dropped the first official trailer for its reality competition show 007: Road To A Million Series 2 on Thursday. The upcoming season brings back Brian Cox as The Controller, who now has more screen time in the series. The first season of 007: Road To A Million, which premiered in November 2023, features multiple teams participating in challenges that draw inspiration from the iconic James Bond film series for an opportunity to win a million pounds.

In 007: Road To A Million Series 2, eight pairs of individuals set off on a James Bond-inspired globetrotting adventure. The challenges entail scaling Bangkok edifices and shark diving in the Bahamas, testing the contestants’ skills. The so-called Killer Question round will see the elimination of the pairs who take the most time to reach there. The tagline for the James Bond-inspired series reads thus: “Ordinary People. Epic Adventure.”

Cox’s character works out of a control room in which he not only challenges the pairs but also looks at their performance, with his trademark wry and deadpan commentary to boot. He works with Sofia, his trusted right hand, played by Frances McNamee. The trailer for 007: Road To A Million Season 2 gives a glimpse into the global operation that The Controller heads and the kind of network that he commands, signalling the sheer reach of his organisation. Speaking about the show, Cox stated, “The series feels more high-octane, more immersive, and definitely more Bond. The challenges are bigger, the drama runs deeper, and I’ve got the best seat in the house to watch it unfold.”

Consisting of eight parts, 007: Road To A Million Series 2 is slated for an August 22 release worldwide on Prime Video.
