Actors Joel McHale and Paula Patton, known for their roles in Animal Control and Sacrifice, respectively, have joined the star cast of Yonas Kibreab-led musical feature Reimagined, the directorial debut of music composer Mateo Messina. The film is an adaptation of his original symphony, The Pageant.

The actors will be joined by Cress Williams, Josh Holloway, Jade Catta-Preta, Kate Micucci, Aaron David Harris, Jeff Witzke, Scott Hoying and Savannah Dahan

The film follows Felix McCoy (Kibreab) attempting to sabotage the town's annual holiday pageant as a coping mechanism to recover from the loss of his mother, Mary (Patton), who is the creator of the event. He later realises he needs to save the show, now produced by the director Hamilton Lydell (McHale), in order to keep his mother's spirit and passion alive.

Patton has acted in several films, such as The Do-Over, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, and Precious, and Messina has starred in The Wrong Missy and Tall Girl.

Production of the film is underway at a location in New York's Hudson Valley.
