Marc Webb is directing an action thriller for Lionsgate titled Day Drinker. The film stars Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz. It marks Depp’s comeback to Hollywood biggest. Recently, he worked in European films such as Jeanne du Barry and Modi: Three Days on the Wing of Madness.

The film stars Depp as a bartender on a cruise ship where he comes across a day drinker with some mystery about her (Cruz). Their encounter puts them in a complex network of crime, with hidden dangers and unexpected connections.

Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee of Thunder Road Films, known for the John Wick series, serve as the producers of Day Drinker.

The film reunites Cruz with Depp. The actors have previously collaborated on films such as Blow, Murder on the Orient Express, and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

Webb, meanwhile, is known for The Amazing Spider-Man franchise. Webb is also part of the live-action Snow White film for Disney, which is in its post production phase.
