Alicia Vikander plays the lead role in Rachel Rose's directorial debut, The Last Day. Victoria Pedretti and Wagner Moura are also part of the film in key roles.

The feature film, which concluded production in New York last October, delves into the story of a writer who grapples with a creative void. As the writer sets off on a journey of self-discovery, she encounters significant figures from her past. Lucie Elwes, Rose, Mason Plotts, Pamela Koffler, Christine Vachon of Killer Films produce it, alongside executive producers Maja Hoffmann and Lucas Hoffmann of Luma Projects.

Vikander, an Academy Award winner, is renowned for her performances in films like The Danish Girl, Ex Machina, and Tomb Raider. This year, she appeared in the political satire Rumours alongside Cate Blanchett and Charles Dance, as well as The Assessment with Elizabeth Olsen. Upcoming projects include the Korean thriller Hope and Oliver Assayas' The Wizard of the Kremlin.

Moura is known for his portrayal of Pablo Escobar in Netflix's Narcos, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination. He recently appeared in A24's Civil War alongside Kirsten Dunst and Cailee Spaeny. Currently, he is filming Ridley Scott's Apple TV+ crime drama Sinking Spring.

Pedretti gained prominence for her role as Nell Crain in Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House. She also starred as Love Quinn in You, opposite Penn Badgley. Her film credits also include Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Shirley, and Origin. Her other upcoming project is Esteban Arango's Ponyboi.
