Patina Miller, Corey Stoll and Harry Lennix join The Last Days of Cabrini-Green Podcast

Based on the story of Cabrini-Green public development demolition in Chicago, a new Audible podcast will star Patina Miller, Corey Stoll and Harry Lennix.

Titled The Last Days of Cabrini-Green, the podcast comes from Campside Media, which backed Chameleon and Suspect podcasts and Wild Things: Siegfriend & Roy.

The podcast series is adapted from Ben Austen's book High Risers: Cabrini-Green and the Fate of American Public Housing. The series takes place in 1992 in Chicago, described as the city's deadliest year, marked by rapid changes like the emergence of Michael Jordan, Oprah Winfrey and population growth. The series will encompass the controversial 22-year term of Mayor Richard M Daley and the murder of seven-year-old Dantrell "Danny" Davis that led to the demolition of the Cabini-Green public house development, which was once home for Danny.

The Last Days Of Cabrini-Green is made combining research work from Austen's nonfiction and dramatisations penned by Harrison Rivers. The podcast series begins streaming today.
