Filmmaker Eli Roth shared the first-look poster of his upcoming comedy film Borderlands last night. The poster features Cate Blanchett and her team of bandits out on a mission. The Lionsgate film also stars Kevin Hart, Jack Black, Ariana Greenblatt, Jamie Lee Curtis, Florian Munteanu, and Edgar Ramírez. It reunites Blanchett with her The House With a Clock in Its Walls director Roth. Avi Arad and Ari Arad are producing the film under their namesake banner, as well as Erik Feig's Picturestart banner. It is based on the best-selling videogame series of the same name.

The film stars Blanchett as a bounty hunter who reluctantly goes back to her native Pandora to find her missing daughter Atlas (Ramirez) and joins a group of misfits to unearth an explosive secret on the planet. Hart plays a mercenary, Greenblatt a demolitionist, Krieg Tina's protector, Curtis a scientist, and Jack Black a robot.

The film is slated for a release on August 9 this year.
