Holly Waddington has bagged the Oscars for Best Costume Design for working in Yorgos Lanthimos' directorial Poor Things starring Emma Stone in the lead.

The costume designer contended with Jacqueline Durran for Barbie, Jacqueline West for Killers of the Flower Moon, Janty Yates and Dave Crossman for Napoleon and Ellen Mirojnick for Oppenheimer.

John Cena, appeared nearly naked to present the award to Waddington. On receiving the award, the costume designer thanked her cast for wearing whatever she threw at them. She has previously worked in Lady Macbeth (2016) and War Horse (2011).
