Kelsey Mann's directorial follows Riley, now a teenager, as she faces new emotional challenges, with her core emotions struggling to adapt to the arrival of Anxiety (Maya Hawke), Envy (Ayo Edebiri), Nostalgia (June Squibb), and Embarrassment (Paul Walter Hauser), leading to a battle for control over her mind and sense of self. Meanwhile, the old Emotions Joy (Amy Poehler), Sadness (Phyllis Smith), and Anger (Lewis Black) try to help Joy.
