Emerald Fennell's Wuthering Heights adaptation, starring Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi in lead roles is hitting theatres just ahead of Valentine's Day in 2026. Based on Emily Brontë's 1847 novel, the film is all set for release on February 13, 2026.

The star-studded cast also includes sHong Chau, Alison Oliver and Shazad Latif. While Robbie is set to star as Catherine Earnshaw, Elordi will play Heathcliff. Fennel will be writing, directing as well as producing the adaptation of the classic novel. Plot details and a release date for the film are currently undisclosed.

The original story follows two families, the Earnshaws and the Lintons and the turbulent relationship they have with the Earnshaws’ foster son, Heathcliff. There have been many adaptations of Wuthering Heights, including William Wyler’s 1939 film and Andrea Arnold’s 2011 version. Most recently, actor-director Bryan Ferriter made a film in 2022 of the same name.

Wuthering Heights marks the second partnership between MRC, LuckyChap (Robbie's production company), and Fennell, following Saltburn. It's also the third collaboration between LuckyChap and Fennell, who had previously worked together on Promising Young Woman. The film reportedly ignited a bidding war, with Netflix offering a hefty $150 million for the rights. However, the filmmakers chose Warner Bros.'s $80 million offer, which included a broad theatrical release and an extensive marketing strategy.
