John Magaro and Jeannie Berlin will star alongside Christian Bale in Maggie Gyllenhaal's Frankenstein film The Bride. They join already-announced cast members Jessie Buckley, Peter Sarsgaard, Annette Bening, Julianne Hough and Penelope Cruz.

Details regarding their roles are currently kept under wraps. The Bride will reportedly revolve around a lonely Frankensterin who takes the help in Dr Euphronius to create a partner for himself, in 1930s Chicago. The Bride is born as the two enliven a murdered young woman. A wild and radical social movement is initiated as she is beyond what they comprehended, and she ignites a flammable love story.

Besides directing, Maggie will also serve as the writer and producer of the film. The film is also co-produced by Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Talia Kleinhendler, and Osnat Handelsman-Keren. The Bride is slated to hit theatres on October 3, 2025.

It is to be noted that The Bride will mark Maggie's second directorial venture after The Lost Daughter (2021).
