Furiosa first look, starring Anya Taylor-Joy out

CE Features

We had earlier reported that Anya Taylor-Joy will be starring in George Miller’s Furiosa, a spinoff of the 2015 dystopian film Mad Max: Fury Road, which explores the origins of the titular character before she became the Imperator for Immortan Joe.

Collider has shared a report from the CCXP convention in São Paulo, Brazil. The images from their report include shots of the Furiosa movie display at the Warner Bros. booth, which showcase a first-ever glimpse at Anya Taylor-Joy in character. The image depicts a golden Furiosa standing in front of a metallic halo.

In Furiosa, Anya will be playing the role once portrayed by Charlize Theron and will explore the earlier life of the character. Chris Hemsworth will also be starring in the film as Immortan Joe, once played by Hugh Keays-Byrne.

Others part of the cast include Tom Burke, and Nathan Jones. The film is directed by George Miller.

Furiosa is scheduled for a theatrical release on May 24, 2024.
