Fire of Love documentary gets feature film adaptation

Fire of Love which is nominated at the Academy Awards for Best Documentary category is set to get a feature film adaptation and will be made by Searchlight Pictures. The documentary is about a tragedic love story of French volcanologists Katia Kraftt and Maurice Kraftt.

Using archival videos and images, the documentary not only focusses on their relationship but also their exploration of the volcanic marvel. The duo died in 1991 following a volcanic eruption. It is helmed by Sara Dosa, who also backed it. Apart from its Oscar nomination, the documentary also fetched Jury Prize during its premiere at Sundance Film Festival 2022. For the feature film adaptation, Sara will serve as producer along with Shane Boris. It will be executive produced by Ina Fichman, Josh Braun, Ben Braun, Greg Boustead and Jessica Harrop.
