Claire Foy, Olivia Colman to be back for The Crown S6 finale 

The series follows the reign of Queen Elizabeth from 1947 through to the early 21st century

Netflix is currently working on the sixth and final season of their popular series, The Crown. It has been announced that all three actresses who portrayed Queen Elizabeth II - Claire Foy, Olivia Colman, and Imelda Staunton - will appear in the final season as a  tribute to the late monarch.

The Crown follows the reign of Queen Elizabeth from 1947 through to the early 21st century. Claire Foy essayed the young Queen in the first two seasons. Later Olivia Colman took up the part of the Queen in her middle age. From the fifth season onwards, Imelda Staunton portrays the character. The upcoming season will also feature actor Viola Prettejohn in the monarch's teenage years during World War 2.  

The Crown has earned multiple awards over the seasons. Foy and Colman earned Emmy Awards, and Staunton was nominated for a BAFTA. 

The sixth and final season is set to be released later this year.
