Adult Swim’s popular adult animated comedy show Rick and Morty was created by Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland. While the show’s sixth season just wrapped up last month, reports surfaced about Justin Roiland being accused of domestic abuse.

Following the accusations, Adult Swim has dropped the writer-producer from the show, who also voices the lead roles in the show. According to reports, the makers are currently looking for a voice talent to replace him.

It is worth noting that, following the massive success of the show, Adult Swim entered a long-term deal with Roiland and Harmon and had renewed the show for 10 seasons. Roiland also developed an animated show for Hulu titled Solar Opposites and is also voicing a character in the animated comedy Koala Man.

The domestic abuse charges include domestic battery along with one count of false imprisonment. Justin Roiland is expected to attend the hearing which is set to take place on April 27.
