Ryan La Sala's bestselling social horror The Honeys is being adapted and developed into a film by Anonymous Content.

The Honeys starts with the violent death of Caroline. The story then follows how her twin brother, Mars, a queer teen investigates the death and into the Honeys, a group of beautiful and out-worldly girls who she boarded with at her exclusive summer camp. Mars starts figuring that the Honeys are hiding a dark secret as they invite him into their group. He takes it upon himself to find out the sickeningly sweet secret that they're guarding in the meadows behind their cabin that could cost him everything.

While Ryan La Sala will serve as an executive producer, David Levine and Garett Kemble will oversee the project on behalf of Anonymous Content.

La Sala has also written books such as Reverie (2019) and Be Dazzled (2021). All of his novels centre around queer people and the surreal things that happened to them. His next novel, Beholder, will be released this fall. The Honeys was published in August 2022.
