Sony had earlier confirmed the third part of the superhero film featuring the Marvel Comics character Venom last year. Now, Tom Hardy shared video footage on his Instagram, announcing the pre-production of the film. 

The video footage shows Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) and the titular symbiote(venom) arguing while going to the hospital. 

The actor also announced the scriptwriting process when it began early last year. Venom 3 will mark the directorial debut of Kelly Marcel, who co-wrote Venom and was the sole writer of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, based on a story by Hardy. 

Marcel will be taking over the director's chair from Ruben Fleischer and Andy Serkis, who directed the first and second films. Along with writing and directing the film, Marcel is set to produce Venom 3 alongside Hardy. Other producers on the film will include Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.
