The full cast of Nosferatu has been announced

It was earlier announced that Willem Dafoe will be playing the iconic role of Nosferatu in Robert Eggers’ reimagining of the classic 1922 horror film. Now, it has been confirmed that he will be joined by an ensemble cast that includes Bill Skarsgård, Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Willem Dafoe and Emma Corrin.

The makers describe the film as a ‘gothic tale of obsession’ It is worth noting that the original film was inspired from Bram Stoker’s Dracula and went on to redefine the horror genre in Hollywood. The upcoming remake is based on a script written by the director. Eggers is best known for making films like The Northman and The Lighthouse.

Dafoe had previously played Nosferatu in the 2000 black comedy film Shadow of the Vampire, for which he was nominated for an academy award. Apart from writing and directing the film, Eggers will be producing the film along with Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Chris Columbus and Eleanor Columbus
