Netflix's upcoming film Reptile is all set to arrive on October 6. With Benecio Del Toro, Alicia Silverstone, and Justin Timberlake playing the lead roles, the film has been written by Grant Singer, in his directorial debut.

Touted to be a crime thriller, Reptile follows veteran detective Nichols (Benicio del Toro) as he works to solve the gruesome murder of a young real estate agent. The investigation proceedings however lead him to find more than what he was expecting. Timberlake will play the boyfriend of the victim.

Apart from Benicio del Toro, Timberlake and Silverstone, the cast also includes Michael Pitt, Ato Essandoh, Frances Fisher, Eric Bogosian and Domenick Lombardozzi.

Singer, who is known for working with artists such as The Weeknd, Sky Ferreira and Lorde, was reportedly influenced by iconic directors such as Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese when making his first feature film.

Before it's Netlfix release, Reptile will have its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on September 7, before opening in select theatres on September 29.
