NBC’s streaming platform Peacock has finally given the go-ahead for the much-awaited Community film. The Community series ended its six-season run with a series finale in 2015. 'Six seasons and a movie' was the rallying cry for the fans and as the momentum picked up, the cast and crew also joined in on the hype by expressing interest.

In a recent interview, creator Dan Harmon revealed that he has a script ready and would go ahead if the production house showed interest. The comedy-drama series stars Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Donald Glover, Ken Jeong, John Oliver, and Chevy Chase. The series follows a band of misfits who end up in a community college after going through low moments in their lives and end up bonding after getting together as a study group.

It is unknown at the moment if Chevy Chase would return to reprise his role since he had a verbal spat with  Dan Harmon and had several disagreements with his cast members. Other members have confirmed their excitement to reprise their roles during several interviews.
