The Amazing Spider-Man-director Marc Webb is all set to helm a supernatural thriller titled Day Drinker.

The film is based on an original story by Zach Dean. Though plot details are scarce, the story, set in coastal France, Portugal, and Spain, is said to revolve around the bond between an enigmatic stranger and a bartender mourning the loss of her lover

Dean also produces the film alongside Lit Entertainment Group’s Adam Kolbrenner. 30West is financing and will executive-produce.

Webb made his feature film debut with the hit romantic-comedy 500 Days of Summer, which starred Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel in the leads. The director went on to helm the two Andrew Garfield-starring The Amazing Spider-Man movies, and the indie film Gifted, starring Chris Evans. His TV credits include The Society, Why Women Kill, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and the upcoming Career Opportunities in Murder and Mayhem. He is currently in production on Disney's Snow White remake starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.
