Actors Charlie Cox, Olga Kurylenko, and Oona Chaplin are set to star in Netflix's upcoming spy drama series, Treason.

The series, described as The Bodyguard meets John Le Carre, hails from Oscar-nominated screenwriter Matt Charman. The story follows Adam Lawrence, a spy trained and groomed by MI6. His career takes a turn when his past catches up in the form of Kara, a Russian spy with whom he shares a complicated past. Larence is forced to question everything and everyone in his life. A triangular relationship forms between Kara, Adam and his wife, Maddy; three people who are trying to expose each other’s secrets, navigate political and diplomatic relationships, whilst hanging onto their personal lives, and those they love most.

Creator Charman will also write, showrun, and executive produce the series under his Binocular Productions banner. The six-part drama is the second collaboration between Charman and Netflix. Charman is all set to make his directorial debut on the upcoming Halle Berry-starrer The Mothership.

Foz Allan will executive produce alongside Valery Ryan. Louise Hooper, who previously helmed episodes of The Witcher, will direct the series.
